Sister Care is a Charitable Campaign established by the Women’s Empowerment Advisory Board and Radio One of Raleigh. Personal care items such as soap, shampoo, lotion, and toothpaste are collected at several locations throughout the Triangle and surrounding areas.

Genesis Home
Genesis Home works to end homelessness for families with children and young adults by providing housing and supportive services to foster independence. Since 1989, the agency has provided a safe, stable place where families can come together, rebuild their lives, and prepare for permanent housing in the community.

The D.L. Forbes Youth Foundation is a Christian based para-military program that assists families with helping to instill life long mental, physical and spiritual changes in “at risk youth ” as well as promoting and re-building family unity.

Urban Ministries/The Helen Wright Foundation
Urban Ministries is an interfaith organization that strives to alleviate the effects of poverty in Wake County by meeting people’s basic needs for food, shelter and health care, providing services that promote self-sufficiency, building awareness of the issues of poverty within the larger community and maximizing volunteer support and in-kind donations to leverage financial support.

Millionaires in Training is an entrepreneurial training program dedicated to exposing young people to a broader range of life experiences through direct activity and contact with a wide variety of business and professional resources. Women’s Leadership Initiative
The Women’s Leadership Initiative at Durham Technical Community College is an organization open to all female students. This organization is designed to support, encourage, and celebrate the contributions that female students can make to the College campus. The primary focus will be on skill development in the areas of leadership, mentoring, and networking on campus and in the Triangle community.

Interact is a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault. Interact fulfills this mission through the support of its volunteers and community.

If you would like to make a donation of personal care items to Sister Care you can stop by the Food Lion stores listed below during the designated times or you can also drop your items off at The Radio One stations at 8001-101 Creedmoor Road in Raleigh between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
